Homemade Smoothie Bowl

I had a different breakfast on Saturday that was delicious, easy to make and picture perfect. I see everyone posting pictures of smoothie bowls on Instagram. They all look delicious and I wanted / needed to make one of my own to see what the hype was about. It turned out pretty great so I wanted to share the recipe!

I used:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 of fresh blueberries
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (I used Sunwarrior Vegan Protein Powder in Vanilla)
  • Toppings: chopped almonds, golden raisins, sunflower seeds and mango

I blended the bananas, blueberries and protein powder (I made it with a little water in my shakey before adding to the blender) until smooth. I poured it in a bowl and placed on my toppings.


It was so tasty and filling. I can’t wait to try different variations (fruit / protein powder flavors / toppings). I’ll definitely be introducing smoothie bowls into my breakfast routines on the weekends.
