Marco Prime

Almost done with the restaurant reviews from vacation. Almost.

We ate at Marco Prime because it was my parents favorite restaurant from vacation.

To start, we ordered the tuna tartar: cucumber, tomato, avocado, citrus-truffle infusion, seaweed salad, crispy chips and black tobiko. It was good, but there was barely enough for each of us to have a taste. It was too small to take a picture of.

For dinner, Brandon and I each got a 6oz petit filet mignon and we ordered 2 sides to share: Brussels sprouts with bacon and parmesan cheese and hickory smoked mashed potatoes.

My meat was a little overcooked, but the sides were fantastic. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were so smoky. If I could recreate the taste, I would.

We got free dessert because they accidentally put gluten on my dinner plate when they said they would not. I got the creme brulee.

It was so good. The sugar was perfectly caramelized and the cream has just the right amount of sweetness.
