My friend Julie came to visit and we wanted to go get ramen for lunch. We waited for a table, sat down and I asked the waitress what was gluten free on the menu. She said nothing. Well, now, that wasn’t possible because there was sushi. We didn’t like her attitude so we got up and left. We didn’t want to take any chances as Julie is gluten free too.
The 3 of us walked a few blocks to Omonia Cafe. Whenever Brandon and I walk past the restaurant, it was always packed. We figured it would be a good option and it was. Omonia Cafe is a greek diner!
I got the chicken souvlaki platter: grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions, tzatziki sauce and French fries.
My chicken was well seasoned, the French fries were cooked perfectly and the marinated tomato and onion salad was delicious. I really liked my food. I’m not sure if we would go back because it was just a diner and it was kinda expensive.
