I saw GeeFree Spanakopita at Stop and Shop and had to pick it up. I love spanakopita. I know that some phyllo dough is gluten free, but you never really know do you? Anyway, these were super easy to make.
I took them out of the box, put them on a sheet and placed them into the oven.
They puffed up and cooked, but didn’t get crispy. I’m wondering if it’s because there were so many layers of dough on these.
I took them out because we were getting hungry. They were okay, but I wouldn’t call them spanakopita. It was dough stuffed with spinach and feta. Brandon agreed. I don’t think we will buy these again.
