On the way home from lunch one rainy afternoon, Brandon and I stopped at Bakeway NYC because I wanted coffee and he wanted a treat. I went in knowing that even though I wanted a treat, they most likely wouldn’t have anything gluten free fresh made. Little did I know, they did. There was gluten free chocolate chip cookies and gluten free cake (with raisins, apples and nuts). I went with the cake as it was recommended by the baker. I later found out that they always have chocolate chip and not always the cake. I was happy I made that decision.
The cake was delicious. It tasted like fall. It was moist, sweet and savory all at the same time. It was a perfect dessert.
